Hey, I was just wondering what you guys thought the most horrifying movie of all times was. Please Respond! I really like scary movies and so far these are my top four favorites.
1) The Exorcist
2) Saw
3) The Shining
4) Silence of the Lambs |

I don’t think saw and hostel were scary. hostel was just weird and i see Saw as more of a .... life-commentary.
In order for a movie to be good it has to have a level of psychologically induced fear. I think the best movie to do this was Poltergiest. Mainly because this nuce house in a great neighborhood can be so dangerous and haunted. Kind of made a lot of people scared that maybe that would happen in their house or something.
Also, as I am thinking, i see Nightmare on Elm Street as a realy good psychological thriller because it scared a lot of people of dreams and the process of sleeping....
Also, Bambi scared the *#&@ out of me! |

keep in mind, I didn’t say I thought Saw was one of the scariest movies, that is just a list of my four favorite scary movies. Also, about Poltergeist, I hated that movie with a passion. No offense to anyone who likes it, I just found it slow, boring, and not scary in the least. (although the scene where that guys face melts is quite intriguing ) |

well you say that now... but you have to think contextually. Go back all those years and pretend like your watching it from their perspective, it’s a much different idea of movies and how scary they are....
just imagine if one of those people traveled through time and watched a current horror film (exluding the hills have eyes and wolf creek).
I can’t wait for Halloween to see saw. Also, i can’t wait to see rob zombie’s take on the halloween series! |
