because I’m just too excited!
Yesturday I bought a ’97 Ford Contour 80,000 miles. $500 in cash.
Supposively the car wasn’t running right and it needed a complete overhaul.
Supposively the transmittion was completely shot.
Supposively it needed new brake rotors.
A tightened timing belt, $50 worth of rotors, and 30 min later it was new.
I’m telling you this car runs better than most 2000’s.
(don’t tell nebody but it went 130mph and FIFTH GEAR IS AT 100!)
All summer I’ve been watching our for a newer car with great gas mileage for cheap. Of course my Mom was giving me information on cars 20 years old for thousands of dollars.
I work in a shop where everyday I talk to people that want to find buyers for their cars, so I didn’t think I needed to spend 15 hundred on a junker. I bought my first pickup truck for $20 and it ran great. lol
Just a week ago sombody was just trying to get ride of a plymouth voyager in great condition and asked me if I wanted to have it for free lol.
My friend just rolled his old 70’s bruiser last week, and now he might give it to me for DERBY RACES!!! I just might have to start a new hobby. Everyone else in the shop owns several demo derby cars.
As far as the poll goes. It’s no contest that Toyota is best, but other than that I would say Chevy... my Chevy pickup is 32 years old now and still runs better than ANY 20 or more year old Ford or Dodge.
I seriously believe the engine will still be in good condition long after the body of the truck has gone and turned to dirt. |
