Am I the only one who doesn’t hate the culture anymore and that doesn’t want to ban or burn every card that they have?
Maybe I’m just being optomistic, but i’m not too worried about T&D either, and I’m not going to ban it.
If you want to ban an NPE I would say start with Corsairs! I hate those guys!
This group is only for Orc-lovers. No nay-saying or posting by members of the ’Ban the Orcs’ group or those who don’t agree. |

I’ll join! I love the culture... I have 3 decks on them (Orkish Lackey + Threats, Orcs + Shelob EoL, and Orkish Wargs).

I know the rest of the "Ban the orcs" group may hate me for saying this, but I actually like alot of the orc stuff.
Especially the underground Denizens from the shadows set.
So no, we don’t all want to burn every card. |
| Never kid about politicians. The more bizarre the joke, the more likely it is to come true. |

I like in theory. It’s just the new broken cards I hate. |
| In marble walls as white as milk, lined with skin as soft as silk, within the fountain crystal clear a golden apple doth appear. What am I? |

That’s my thinking, too. I’d still prefer the old shadow cultures with different Orcs ( , , , ) each having their own unique feel, but the culture wasn’t too bad until recently. I think it’s as a direct result of trying to bring all those unique Orc cultures together under one banner; you can’t do massive archery AND massive wounding AND site manipulation AND big minions AND swarms all together and expect it to stay balanced. It’s very easy to trip when you do that, moreso than the other new Shadow cultures which aren’t striving to represent such varied pre-Shadow themes.
So, in short, I think they did an okay job until recently, when they (inevitably, probably) began to trip. It started small, but with T&D, it’s REALLY gotten bad. I guess I’d say I like the culture overall, but can’t stand how broken it’s become. |
Best regards, Dáin, Vice Aftokrator of the Chosen Ones
Check out Lasting Alliances, The Road Ahead, and Ages of Middle-earth, three of my five dream card sets that make up Wars of the Ring. Oh, and I have a trade list now!
Also, if you're into DCs or RPGs (or even if you're not!), check out Realms of Middle-earth, the sequel to CG's "DC Adventure", Realms of the North! |
