Indeed gil-estel, football is the greatest sport of all time.
The English Premier League is clearly the best of them all! No cheating Italians! If only we could get rid of Chelsea and Liverpool the Premier League would be miles ahead of all others. Sorry lem0n
This thread needs to be renamed football instead of soccer I will not be able to operate under football’s fake name. |

soccer is indeed the best overall sport and I’m american, hah! but we can’t call it football in the states because of American Football’s popularity. Maybe in time we can change the names around,  |

Over here footy is the number one game with most of the male population following a team. Its awesome. |

| I myself play football, I’m a fan of Ajax, and attractive football in general. In the period Arsenal were unbeaten for 43 (orso) games they were incredible! Bergkamp/Henry, what a combination. |

Sorry for the major bump, but I just had to say that soccer is indeed the best sport ever. I had a blast this weekend winning a local soccer tournament... it featured 8 local teams in a single-elimination tournie. My team won the first game 2-1, the semi-finals 2-0, and the finals 2-0.
The final game was sooo crazy harsh, with all the players playing extremely rough and fast. In the first few minutes of the game, one of our defenders got red-carded for a slide tackle that missed the ball and completely took out a player, so we were down to 10 guys on our team for most of the game. We were pounding their goal but their goalie made some amazing saves, and so nobody scored for the first long while. Then we had a free kick from about halfway between the half-line and their goal, and pretty much all our offense and midfields lined up alongside their players on the outside of the 18, waiting for the kick (so we wouldn’t be offsides). My teammate lobs the ball past the line, and I sprint for it, but then a defender heads it away to the side. What luck! It came straight to me and I pounded it out of the air across the goal. The goalie dove for it, but it ended up bouncing off the post into the goal. I felt like a hero, with everyone cheering  . The game continued at 1-0 till the second half, when on a corner kick my teammate out-jumped the goalie and 2 defenders to head the ball into the goal. Our defense was able to keep them away from the goal, and so the game ended 2-0. Everyone was really tired and sore but it was well worth it for the victory. 
Yay for soccer!!!
