I’m off to a big cookout today, where we’ll have burgers and hot dogs and crabs (it’s a Maryland thing ) and shrimp and chips and sides galore. I’m sure many of you (in the USA, at least) are having Memorial Day activities also.
But let’s not forgot what this day is about. Say a quick prayer for our soldiers, sailors, pilots, police officers, firemen, EMTs, and all who selflessly serve so that we can go to those cookouts and have fun. Remember those who have given their lives over the years so that we might be here, free, today.
Happy Memorial Day, everyone. |
Best regards, Dáin, Vice Aftokrator of the Chosen Ones
Check out Lasting Alliances, The Road Ahead, and Ages of Middle-earth, three of my five dream card sets that make up Wars of the Ring. Oh, and I have a trade list now!
Also, if you're into DCs or RPGs (or even if you're not!), check out Realms of Middle-earth, the sequel to CG's "DC Adventure", Realms of the North! |

Happy Memorial Day.
This is a big day for my family, since just about every male ancestor of mine was in the military. |

Spammers really are amazing creatures. You can learn all there is to know about their ways in a month. And yet, after a hundred years, they can still surprise you. |

It’s especially sobering to watch some Pearl Harbor documentaries... guys tell stories of reaching out to grab their buddies who are barely alive and floating in the water, and their skin literally falls off when they grab them.
Thanks for your serving your country, men. We owe you our eternal gratitude. *salutes* |
