I heavily believe your views would be different if you were the ones who had been bombed heavily. Tens of thousands of dead laying on the streets. Children without parents, parents without children. seeing your citizens blown up for no reason at all, except a group of people don’t like the way we live and believe.
If you ask me, we didn’t ask for the war, it was brought to us. You can react differently when you get bombed, but I don’t want to see the bodies of american civilians litering the streets.
If you talk to the soldiers, read what they say, you will see that this isn’t just a war to stop terrorists. The GIs see that the people have been oppressed and tourtured. They see that men need freedom. That is why we fight.
sorry, I will be quiet on this topic not. (enjoy the rest of it guys, and i hope I don’t sound snippity or nasty. sorry if I do.)

The bodies which daily line Iraq’s streets however are just fine for you are they? The fact is that the American’s have run the war on Terror terribly and you only have to look at the reception Bush got when he visited the UK last year to see that there is a lot of anger here in Britain that we got dragged into this charade. Bush may constantly talk about the special relationship between britain and the USA but the fact is most people here are totally fed up of it, how we seem to do whatever the Americans say and how the USA takes advantage of us over and over again. (for all the Americans here I just want to say that i love most things about your country and the people are great, I lived there for a large chunk of my childhood, however your government sickens me) |

Ok one more thing. Did you know Al-Quida kills their own people too? It isn’t just america that kills. We kill out of accident, (yes it is an accedent in war) they kill out of hate and anger.
How would you have run the war any specific way?
I like to believe we have an ally in you. Am I wrong?
(Ok, this is the last political post I will make, no matter what is thrown.)

We were until this. Now most British people resent America because we feel that we are always on the serving end of the relationship and we are sick of being taken advantage of. |

We have Islam fighting Christianity and Judaism. It is a conflict that will never be disolved until Christ returns.
I would like to also say that I am for keeping troops in Iraq. Not as large of an amount, but you have to realize this:
Al-quida is waiting for us to leave. It is a group that wants power. The people want ’freedom’. It will be a great battle and a bloody one if we withdrawl.
By being over there, we are also keeping large battles from Isreal, which is a good thing in its self.

Troop withdrawal is military suicide. If we pull our troops out of Iraq, Al-Qaeda will surge with renewed morale and forces.

| SoP you said it right. We marched in -yes the Dutch went along-, we thought it was going to be easy (blitzkrieg, as the germans would say) but we found out that the people in Afghanistan and Iraq are a bit tougher then we thought and that they fight in a, for them, very effective way. We can’t withdraw and let the people behind. We should finish what we started, but we can’t. It’s a dirty mess, with victims on both sides. US should worry about not getting into another Vietnam, if it isn’t too late yet. The costs are incredible, and the democracy is also fainting. Bush is losing his credibility with all the veto’s. It isn’t a War on Terror, it is a Bush-war....and we’re stuck to it. |
