As I believe Mitt Romney said, credit bush this
He has kept us Safe for 7 yrs. I am not saying he is a great president, even a good one. But he has done that. And personally, If i had to start my president with a huge terrorist attack that racked the nation and killed thousands, I doubt I would do any better. iw ould probably do much worse.
Oh and congress, which hilary was/is a part of has lower approval ratings then bush. |

Indeed, it’s rather hilarious. The Dems got Congress, and now what do they do?
Anyhow, I think this debate took a turn for the worse when Bible quotes entered into it, because the people using Bible quotes just get pigeonholed rather unfairly as radical religious righters. I’m technically what you’d call the "religious right" (I’m Catholic, and conservative), yet I don’t go around spouting Scripture at unbelievers.
But there’s still problems with a female prez. First and foremost, you can’t deny that emotionally speaking, women are generally structured different from men. Remember that whole hormone thing? Women are naturally prone to mood swings, because of the way their hormones soar and drop, unlike men, whose hormone levels generally stay the same.
I recall a comment made early on in this thread, that Margaret Thatcher was essentially a "man with a handbag", and that sounds about right. Although I can’t help but wonder whether Hillary isn’t a similar situation... |

| It’s pretty hard to any Congress to get sane legislation passed when they’ve got a wacko president in office vetoing everything that comes his way. That would probably be a pretty significant cause to why Congress has a low approval rating right now. As soon as there is both a Democratic president and congress and things actually GET DONE, then you will start to see progress and higher approval ratings. |
When we do it in Iraq, it's called progress. When we do it here in the US, it's called socialism.

I don’t recall, but wasn’t the rating higher when Republicans controlled it? |

I would like to point out Genesis 3:16 the Fall of man has just occured and God is talking with man and woman and is placing the curses they will have to deal with.
"To the woman he said I will greatly multiply your pain in childbirth, in pain you shall bring forth children; yet your desire shall be for your husband, and he shall rule over you."
I do not believe woman are terrible or whatever, I believe they have a very special role in the family and I respect woman. I believe they are a gift from God to be looked after and cherished.
Now then we can get into the entire debate of why people use the Bible.
I will say right now why I use it.
Because I believe it is the word of God written for men to follow.
It holds the teachings I believe in. I have faith that it is true. Our meaning of the word has changed, so I will clarify what the meaning was when the Bible was written, and up to now such a long time ago.
The meaning of faith was that it had sound evidence behind it. It was not a blind leap, but actually a set stone with proof.
As for backing the bible up we can go into history to find it.
Here are more things I can’t see eye to eye with if Hillary becomes president.
She says abortion is ok, I disagree.
She says homesextuality is ok, I disagree
She wants to fund embrionic stem cell research (pardon the spelling), I would like to point out that this research has been proven proven not to work. cell research yes, but not killing a baby and taking its cells. ’
These are a few points I don’t agree with. |

| Don’t forget to clarify, Hillary supports embryonic stem cell research, which is ineffective and immoral. The adult stem cell research is A-OK, because it doesn’t result in death. It is also more effective, since embryonic stem cell research has only produced a handful of cures in lab rats. |

The whole point is, hawkeyesf that man is evil. People are not just ’nice’
right from the start. Man is a born a sinner; damned to hell unless he
repents of his sins and places his faith in Jesus Christ. It may seem ’hard’. It may seem ’unfair’. But it’s the truth. This thread started as a discussion about leadership rolls, now it is your senseless bashing of christanity.
It seems that anyone who does not conform to your standards of
tolerantionism should be bashed. You have not stated what you believe,
you have stated how ridiculous you think christanity is. Please explain,
on the thread NB started why you believe what you believe. |

I think it is interesting how people like Edwards are having their wifes do the main talking for them.
And that comment by Michelle Obama stating ""if you can’t run your house, you can’t run the White House." which seems to be to be an attack on hillary.
But it seems like those of us who are opposed to hillary or any women being president are often maligned... |
