X to the infinity power = infinity (or X^∞ = ∞), while X is a number.
0 to the X power = 0 (or 0^X = 0), while X is a number.
THUS,
0 to the infinity power (or 0^∞) SIMULTANEOUSLY equals 0 AND Inifinity (∞).
Conclusion? 0 = ∞.
A perpetual motion machine is a machine with ∞ energy.
Thus, when absolutely zero motion is obtained, you will have a perpetual motion machine.
Absolute zero, or 0 kelvins (also known as -459.67 degrees Fahrenheit), is the temperature at which all motion ceases.
Thus, if you can cool an object to absolute zero, you will have created a perpetual motion machine.
Is this possible? Yes. Once the universe ceases to exist, then the temperature will reach absolute zero, the temperature at which no motion occurs.
The mind-boggling conclusion? If, and ONLY if, the universe and all energy for motion in it is destroyed, will a perpetual motion machine be possible.
In other words, no motion = infinite motion. |
