Awesome!
I still have yet to play an actual game outside of SdA.... No one in central Maryland seems to be into it. At least, no one that I know. |
Best regards, Dáin, Vice Aftokrator of the Chosen Ones
Check out Lasting Alliances, The Road Ahead, and Ages of Middle-earth, three of my five dream card sets that make up Wars of the Ring. Oh, and I have a trade list now!
Also, if you're into DCs or RPGs (or even if you're not!), check out Realms of Middle-earth, the sequel to CG's "DC Adventure", Realms of the North! |

Ooo, clash fo the titans coming! Congrats, CG, nice to know someone still plays the game. I mean, even though I AM a MtG player and you all hate me for it, I LIKE LotR, and think it’s sad people here have just stopped playing. If I had kept up with purchasing cards, by now I’d probably have a set of every card available, at least, so I’d go for a Draft/Limited night with drinks and friends FOR SURE! |

Okay, I just got back, it was sweet. I ended up playing my Ring-bound rangers/Southron threats vs. his Naith/Berserker deck. He lucked out, and drew Devilry of Orthanc and Siege Engines in the same turn. Which meant that Devilry was ready pretty quickly, but more on that later.
My opening hand was eight cards, including 2x Pathfinder, 2x Ranger’s Bow, and 2x Defend It and Hope. I couldn’t pass it up, even though it meant that I had to give up my Shadow for the first turn. Luckily, he opted not to double. So I cruised down the site path fairly quickly.
Then came the all-important Region 2. Site 6 was where the fun happened, for both of us. I survived a vicious onslaught, including Devilry triggering and three beefy berserkers, but lost Gondorian Ranger. Which spelled bad news for me later on. He got his entire fellowship exhausted-if I’d drawn a Red Wrath, I could’ve finished him with the threats I’d had stocked up.
But we both healed, licked our wounds. But his Uruks were now not roaming, unless I did something like use my Soldier’s Cache. Which I did, and survived the next site-although not without adding burdens.
End story, he got me at Site 8, he was at Site 7. Good game, it was awesome. |

Ooooh....an old school TT type guy. Give him a link to here, I need someone to play TT with.
Mark’s brother runs Naith/ trackers. I pummeled him with sweet brokeness. (Expended IB, muahaha). He doesn’t like me any more, and he complained the whole game about new, broken cards.
Remember that, menace? That’s when you like, stayed for 9-10 hours, and my mom told me to shove you out the door, right?
Oh, BTW, menace’s solo-Bilbo deck is fun. And crazy, weird, and otherwise... |

Wow, this is interesting turn of events. Just when you think the whole world has abandoned LOTR, look again...
Yeah see if these guys could come to Cobra! |
