Can you forgive me if I don’t apologize?
Okay, I’m sorry and beg forgiveness . Now you can forgive me.

SOrry, can’t be a part of it, hunting is entirely illegal in Brazil, thus I’ve never been hunting so I can’t advocate either way, as I can’t properly weight the pros and cons. As a generic thought, though, I believe hunting is fine under some rules:
- Species on the verge of extinction are off limits;
- You can’t hunt during mating season;
- You have to give the animal a chance to defend itself (no, I don’t mean you to give the deer a gun of his own, but rather not just tossing a napalm bomb or a hand grenade, or using a machine gun, or a repeating rifle, hunting has to be more... "handyworked"...);
- You CAN hunt if you need it to survive (so sorry, fellas, but either we open 7’11s in the wild, or I won’t help sueing the lions, tigers and bears...);
- You should never hunt "just for the fun of killing" leaving dead carcasses everywhere you pass: eat what you hunt (or at least part of it... );
- Your hunting shouldn’t pose a threat to other animals (people included), specially if they’re endangered: if you want to hunt deer, hunt deer, don’t just shoot out the cute bunny rabbit that crossed your way because you’re angry you can’t find any deer. |

You have just described the sportsman’s code of ethics. You should become a hunter.
BTW, giving the animal a chance to defend itself is called fair chase, and is also why assault rifles are banned for hunting in many states. Not to mention that 500 rounds throughout the deer’s body would spoil the meet. And BTW, what’s the fun of hunting with Napalm? Widespread destruction and not being able to eat what you kill? Talk about pointless.
However, there is one thing to ask about. How do you define repeating rifle? Are semi-automatics included? Because I think its perfectly ethical to use a semi-auto.
Would cute bunny rabbit include my avatar? |
