Geez, with 47 or however many beaches? What do you do, hide under a rock? |

| My room, really. Closed blindfolds pretty much all the time, air-conditioning keeping it at 16-18°C. On the other hand, I WILL be going to the pool tomorrow, what with the 34°C weather it’s making. |

ok, if we want to tale about real hunting, i can do that. i will discuss common weapons, and stuff:
Compound bow: the most common type used in bowhunting these days, it has tremendous power, and due to the cams, it lets off pressure when you pull it all the way back. so you can have a 60 pound draw weight but when you draw, you’re only holding 20-30 pounds. this lets you hold your draw, and wait for the shot you want. plus, with compounds you can get all sorts of cool feature. (whisker biscuit, sights, stablizers, etc..)
recurve/longbow: you don’t get all the features, and it has no let-off, (so if you have a 60 pound draw weight, and you pull the string back, you will be holding 60 pounds.) your shot will basically be one motion (draw-release) yoiu can’t really hold your draw. harder, but in my opinion, much cooler. i have a compound bow, but when i have practiced and stuff, and when i am a-strong enough i want to switch to recurve.
30-06: excellent gun. long effective range (about 200-250 yards), good for hunting many types of animals, powerful, many types of bullets. good solid gun, and it’s been used for years. (i want to get one someday. when i am famous and have a bunch of money.)
6mm&7mm: VERY long range (has kill power at like over 400 yards), good for deer hunting, i’ve never used one but want to get one someday.
and there are a bunch of other rifles, but i won’t bother with them.
Shotguns: with a shotgun you can hunt any kind of animal. short effective range: 40-50 yards (or 100 if you use a slug which is a single massive bullet. basically.) you can also shoot skeet (clays) with shotguns, which is LOADS of fun. get a group of friends, find a field, and throw clays all day and shoot them up. shotguns are also cheap, shotgun ammo is cheap, clays are cheap, and they are versatile and fun.
i own a 20 gauge shotgun, and love it. but i’d recommend a pump 12 gauge. .410’s are good for the kids, and .10 gauge maybe if you are hunting birds, but if you have a .20 gauge and a .12 gauge, you can hunt anything, and the .20 gauge can be shot by a younger (and smaller hunter.)
and i have to go. |

Wow.
I have a .22 Savage rifle, which came with a scope. I need to figure out some way to get the thing on, it would be awesome. |
