Just wondering if anyone else has seen the Lord of the Rings musical in London at the Theatre Royal?
I saw it while I was over in England, and -- given the fact that it was a hypersimplified version of the story to get it to fit in 3 hours -- I thought it was amazing. Well, besides the rather hyper-simplified plot. I heard that the play was terrible in its pre-West End incantations, but I thought this was pretty cool.
Besides, I liked how they did Boromir. The Scottish accent was a bit odd, but still....
We had really crummy seats, but we got upgraded because for whatever reason, they didn’t want to be using that part of the theatre at the time. |
| Never kid about politicians. The more bizarre the joke, the more likely it is to come true. |

| No, but I saw The Lion King in London a few years back. It was pretty good, considering it was a... British... musical. |
Riddle 9
When I came to Abraham I let him live just a moment longer. When I came to Moses I saved his life more than once. But the salmon... I regret to say I had a hand in its death.
