I said Vista, but both is probably truer.
It’s just that vista removes the need for a conspiracy. |

| IE. Vista has its good points...but as for IE, I can see very little to praise about it. |

This is why I still use Firefox 1.0.7 and will upgrade only when forced at gunpoint. |

Check out Lasting Alliances, The Road Ahead, and Ages of Middle-earth, three of my five dream card sets that make up Wars of the Ring. Oh, and I have a trade list now!
Also, if you're into DCs or RPGs (or even if you're not!), check out Realms of Middle-earth, the sequel to CG's "DC Adventure", Realms of the North! |

I’m not supposed to download anything on the computer, and since we just got Vista 64-bit, he needed to check for compatibility, so forbade me from downloading....anything. Its cleared with him now though, so I have Mozilla back.

Spammers really are amazing creatures. You can learn all there is to know about their ways in a month. And yet, after a hundred years, they can still surprise you. |

Most OSes (Operating Systems) were written with a 32-bit instruction set as this was the widest that the execution pipeline could handle. Back in 2003, AMD introduced the world’s first x86 compatible processor that could handle a 64-bit instruction set. Increasing the number of bits makes it possible to directly access more memory (32 bit systems were only able to access 4gigabytes of address space) and execute instructions faster. Vista is one of the first OSes to take advantage of the 64-bit instruction set offered by all current CPU’s. If you would like more information, I can point you in the right direction.
It just so happens that I work at AMD and have a decent understanding of overall computer architecture. |
