Okay, I’m a little rusty on this, but I think I can brush up on some of the rules.
The game will be carried out via PMs.
For a quick summary of our plying technique, we’ll use the one I’m most familiar with.
There are 4 roles. The mafia, detective, doctor, and townsfolk. And of course, narrator, who is me.
One person each will be assigned one of the roles.
When enough people have joined, I’ll PM everyone their role.
I’ll ask the mafia who they want to kill. Then, I’ll ask the doctor who they want to save, and if they select the killed person, that person is saved, if not, the killed person is dead and eliminated from the game. I’ll then ask the officer who they suspect. I’ll then let the officer know if they are correct. The townsfolk will then execute someone.
Both the killed and executed person are expelled from the game.
Nobody can share roles with anyone else, thus, the officer, although knowing information, may not tell anyone he is the officer, and thus his vote only counts as one of the townsfolk. The doctor is also a townsfolk.
So, with that being said, join up!
EDIT: Actually, that’s the typical role, but we’ll go with a "the hobbit" theme.
The "mafia" will be the Necromancer. The Necromancer will capture someone.
Gandalf will be the "doctor", and can save someone by rescuing them by from the Necromancer. Or, the person is placed to death by some evil design of the Necromancer.
Elrond will be the "officer", and can suspect people.
A TWIST HERE: Saruman will be a traitor and will be allowed to know who the Necromancer is and will attempt to, as an anonymous Man of the West, disuade the people from selecting the right person and execute innocent people.
The Men of the West will be the townsfolk and will vote on who to execute.
We’ll begin as soon as we get enough people.

I like that we have some of CC’s biggest masterminds on here.
Now we need AD and M_H to join...and that would make the game an intense battle of the wits.
Matter of fact, EVERYONE here already has already proven sharp wits on other forums and the Assassin game. I’m really looking forward to this. |

Whoever’s Incog on the assassin game gets picked as victim by sheer coincidence... Gandalf in a rush of typical police work, saves Sauron instead, and the townsfolk kill Gandy.
