Okay, so here’s the deal. I didn’t want to post it in the LotR RPG forum, but I though that this would be fun.
The year is 2020. A Chinese Empire has emerged and is supplying arms to the Arab nations around Israel.
The Israelis have put out a call for help to the free world, and the US has answered.
In the meantime, the Chinese have begun efforts to secure the Sea of Japan and the South Pacific under its control control, diplomatically at first, Russia has risen to aid China, preparing its own army to overtake the Balkans, which it claims belonged to the Soviet Union before their illegal secession and must be retaken.
The epicenter of the war is about to explode in the Middle East, where the Arabs are gearing for war with Israel, and the Russians are preparing for an invasion of the Balkans.
You will roleplay an American, Soviet, Israeli or Balkan Citizen. You may also play a Korean or Vietnamese, to a limited extent.
So, who’s in?

| I find it slightly unrealistic that the Soviets would fund the arab nations. They were more interested in supporting communist elements within country’s. They would probably prefer that region unstable rather than some Arab super state which would most likely happen after a united war with isreal. Also would the Arab’s take the help from the Soviet’s. The Arab world is very proud and doesn’t take well to interference as America has found out to it’s cost. They also have long memories and certainly would not have forgotten the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan. Also as this is set in 2020 can’t we have a new super state which is a bit more likely. Wouldn’t it be cooler, more original and more realistic to have a Chinese Empire for the ’free world’ to face. This scenario sounds like it jumped out of the late seventies rather than 2020. Sorry for being a bit of a spoil sport but I am a history nerd and so have to interfere and give my views by law. |
