If any of you care, we have to most messed up politics in the USA. If anyone wants to look at a perfect example of the political system, look at Kansas.
Our state is run by a political machine. George Tiller is the leading abortionist in the world, and he runs the state with his huge political machine. The republican party lost all its guts, so in a state that votes red every presidential election, we have a die-hard liberal governor AND attorney general.
Phil Kline, a staunch conservative, lost the election in a RED state because he dared to mess with the George Tiller political empire, and tried to shut the guy down for many illegal activities. His political machine knocked him out, and got Paul Morrison in, who the governor has vouched for the highest integrity, and now he’s in the midst of a legal battle for sexual harassment.

I need not say that he can lose his job after this.
This is, of course, after he was able to conveniently hide the results of the Grand Jury investigation of our local abortionist, and ruin all the good that Phil Kline did in office.
In the meantime, the abortionist gets off scot-free, even though many pro-choice people think he should be shut down for many violations of state law. But, he runs Kansas.
Now look at our governor, Kathleen Sebelius (a.k.a. The Ice Lady), who won riding on the back Tiller’s PAC, filled the Supreme Court (which is referred to as the Seblius court) with family members. Talk about nepotism! She runs the court. Any challenge that gets to the Supreme Court is decided by Kathleen Sebelius
Now that’s just the abortion side of Kansas politics. Our education system is in shambles, with some of the smallest school districts in the nation, all with superintendents. All the money appropriated for education ends up tied up in a mess of education bureaucracy, and nothing gets to the classroom!
But that doesn’t stop the Sebelius controlled court from ILLEGALLY ordering the Legislature to appropriate funds for legislature or shut down the school system in the entire state!
Oh wait, the Supreme Court can’t do that? Checks and balances? Oh wait, with a divided legislature, they can’t check the court, and the governor is controlling it!
So...if anyone cares to read this, I needed to rant and this was a convenient place to do so. And I would like to use this argument to refute the idea that Kansas is boring. If you want excitement, step into Kansas politics, and hope you don’t get run over, stomped into the ground or whatever the government can think of to do to you. |

Heh.
You should read Icelandic Legal Sagas. Now there’s some screwy politics.... Like when a killer prosecutes himself at court so that he can drop the prosecution and get away scot-free....
Yeah, we’ve got just about the weirdest mess in the nation. I think there was even a book titled "What’s wrong with Kansas" or something like that.... |

Wow. Kansas seems messed up at the moment. Too bad we ain’t livin’ in the cowboy age, just storm city hall and shoot da corrupted official down.
All right sorry for the temporary insanity. What Kansas needs, all of United states needs, is better management of our tax money with less politics complications floating around. |

Ah, but less tax politics means less incentive for corruption in the first place.
(less incentive, not no incentive.) |

sorry, Texas justice is what I have always heard it called (even by folks who aren’t from Texas). So that is what comes to mind.
in all due respect, your state needs a turn around. |
