here is the recipe for stained glass cookies:
you will need:
cookie sheet, waxed paper, mixing bowl, wooden spoon, sieve, rollin pin, cookie cutters, sharp knife, wire rack.
ingredients:
1/2 cup [120 g] softened butter
1/4 cup [55 g] superfine sugar
1 1/2 cup [175 g] all-purpose flour
1-2 tablespoons milk
fruit-flavored hard candies, broken up
what to do:
step 1: preheat the oven. line a cookie sheet with waxed paper. beat the butter and sugar until thick, pale, and creamy
step 2: sift in the flour, then mix it into the butter and sugar. stir in the milk, the knead to form a soft ball of dough.
step 3: roll out the dough on a floured surface until about 1/4 in [1/2 cm] thick, then cut it into shapes with he cookie cutters.
step 4: cut a small hole in the middle of each shape and put broken-up candy in it. Bake the cookies for about 15 minutes until golden.
step 5: take the cookies out of the oven. when the melted candies harden, move the cookies to a wire rack to finish cooling.
this is and example of star ones, but you can do any shape, like, hearts, trees, angels, circles, anything. and the inside shape can be whatever too...
these dont look as good as the ones in the recipe book though, so i think they look better the the ones in the picture. |

Popcorn is not gooey like fat, and also not crunchy like potato chips, but crispy like lettuce which makes it a healthy snack. |
