Riddle 9
When I came to Abraham I let him live just a moment longer. When I came to Moses I saved his life more than once. But the salmon... I regret to say I had a hand in its death.

Hhhmm, they’re talking about an impressive new product, I wonder what it is. I wish that they would bring LotR back!
Thanks for bringing this to our attention menace, 65-66 |

Well, he did ask for advice about a non-numeric TCG, no?
Sounds promising. Wonder what it is that they have lined up. Hobbit, maybe?
Surely it’s something that will already have some fan base. IIRC, the WARS experiment didn’t work out too well.... |

I know nothing about this.
But, looking at Decipher’s history, they are more apt to pursue some kind of licensed game (a la Star Wars, Star Trek, Lord of the Rings, etc.). The big question is, what property is potentially lucrative enough at this point to earn dollar signs? My mind immediately jumps to Halo, but it’s past its middle-point of popularity, methinks. |

What I came up with:
Halo: Seems a bit late to jump aboard that train, but maybe.
Narnia: Well, Prince Caspian looks pretty dang cool, but it seems IMO a little weak as something for a major TCG, and the movies too far apart.
Stargate: Already a card game.
Star Wars: Already a card game.
Star Trek: Already a Decipher card game.
Harry Potter: Pretty sure it’s already a TCG too.
His Dark Materials: Same problem as Narnia. Seems too much of a gamble to try to make a major TCG out of it.
Non-LOTR Tolkien, ie Hobbit, Silmarillion, Children of Hurin, etc.: Possible, if they get more liscences. Hobbit seems unlikely until there’s more certainty about if/when there will be a movie.
James Bond: Well, there is a new movie coming out pretty soon, isn’t there?
Wheel of Time: Now THAT would be one heck of a complicated game.
24: Just can’t see it ever actually happening.
What I really wanna see would be:
Three Kingdoms/Dynasty Warriors: How awesome would that be?
Myth: Some sort of mythology-based game with Norse, Greek, Egyptian, Celtic, Native American, etc. myth. I have a vague set of rules I was working on for my own version, but never actually finished them. Vaguely similar to a cross between LotR, Magic, and Star Trek.
Nova: Well, I might as well dream, right? (Nova is the title of the sci-fi trilogy I’m writing....)
In conclusion, I obviously haven’t got the slightest clue what they might be planning. |

| Actually, there are James Bond, Wheel of Time, and 24 CCGs. I’ve heard that 24 was actually an interesting CCG. |
