the thing is, if we pull out immediately, it will have major repercussions for our status, if we stay longer, and then have to pull out, it will have major repercussions.
If we stay longer, but make a stable democracy...it will be very good. Though the chances are small...I don’t know... |

Spammers really are amazing creatures. You can learn all there is to know about their ways in a month. And yet, after a hundred years, they can still surprise you. |

I must agree with SOP. We have to stay in right now or something bad might happen. |

The problem is that we just do not know. We do not know that it will get worse. We do not know that things will get better. Everybody has their theories but very few agree. |

If we leave, the terrorist groups will follow us. They are not content with us just leaving, they wish to continue the killing of infidels. There will be more major attacks like 911 if we pull out. Simply put, our troops are tying up terrorist operations in the middle east and the terrorists must put more time and resources into what’s going on there, and not on what they can do to the US. If we stay we can help the middle east (I know that will prolly be taken out of context) by preventing Iraq from becoming another terrorist state. If we leave, the middle east will be in more trouble than it is now. |

This -to me- is prove that the US should have never invaded Iraq. With somemany unknown factors, the gamble was too high. 1 question, you say the US is in danger, should be defended, ergo: you have to invade and neutralize the danger. Why are you in danger? Because of all the nose-poking you are doing. Even the Netherlands, with one of the most controversial politics at this moment -Geert Wilders who made the movie Fitna- isn’t in great danger. Ofcourse certain developments are to be monitored, but I do not agree that greater danger will occur fot the US by leaving. IMHO the only thing to happen is an even greater instability in the region. That gives the following situation: to leave --> not good, to stay --> not good as well, for this war is sucking the US budget empty..... |

Instability will lead to crazy stuff happening. More radicals will rise up and blame the US for all their trouble if we pull out. That will lead to danger for all of us. |

| yes put if we pull out, we can concentrate more on securing our borders. We would have a lot less illegals coming if we had 100,000 troops on our border with mexico. We could have the equivalent of secret service in every airport, with an eye to see things that are wrong... |

| Well, we would kinda be responsible for all the Iraqi-killing that would happen after we pulled out. Since all the Iraqis who supported and helped our troops would be targeted. Reminds me of another time when we cut and ran, and let a large number of people die because of our cowardice. |
