Riddle 9
When I came to Abraham I let him live just a moment longer. When I came to Moses I saved his life more than once. But the salmon... I regret to say I had a hand in its death.
Who am I? |

Popcorn is not gooey like fat, and also not crunchy like potato chips, but crispy like lettuce which makes it a healthy snack. |

lem0n, define WMD.
Would you mean a WMD in a completed state ready to be deployed in New York City? Or London?
Or would you define a WMD as all materials necessary to produce such a weapon.
Because we’ve found the materials. Like highly radioactive material, bio, chem, stuff like that. We know that Saddam used WMDs on his own people, so we knew he had it.
But yeah, Britain wasn’t really at threat. America was, and Britain, being our nice NATO ally, decided to do the right thing and help us out. |

You do know that a veto can be overridden by Congress, right? The president has little to know power in legislation.
Heck, look at Truman! America didn’t even join the League of Nations he engineered! President is a far cry from ruler of the world. |

Id agree with wiki on this:
"A weapon of mass destruction (WMD) is a weapon which can kill large numbers of humans and/or cause great damage to man-made structures (e.g. buildings), natural structures (e.g. mountains) or the biosphere in general."
Bits of stuff that make one up isnt a weapon. Im sure most countries have each part of a womd somewhere doesnt mean they put it togther or targeted someone. Read all the propaganda from your country you want. They never found a nuke bunker.
We were wrong to attack that country unless we absolutely had to and there has been no proof we had to.
I would like to know if this would have happened if there was no oil in Iraq. |

Okay, so I took apart my nuclear warhead with a screwdriver, but can put it back together at any time.
I have no WMD. Bwahaha.
As for propoganda, let me ask a question. Who’s propogating it? We have some people who say we found them, some say we didn’t. Who’s lying?
Yes, this would have happened if there were no oil. We’re not stupid. We didn’t go in for oil. Have you cared to check American gas prices lately? We ticked off OPEC and all the big oil companies are getting slammed with prohibitively high prices. The War in Iraq has been terrible for the oil business. |

Well the argument really is that we were told based on American intel that Saddam had fuly ready WMD’s which could be deployed against our country within a 40 minute time frame. So the anger is really that they didn’t find these ready to go weapons. Also I’d have to debate who was at threat. Iraq would find it very difficult to hit America with a Nuclear attack because of the extreme distance whereas hitting Britain would be far easier and such a hit would take out America’s closest world ally and its only close freind left in Europe so I’d say that we were probably at more threat than America. |

Nice point about Britain, Turin. That would actually be a pretty effective way to take a military poke at the US, especially given how much we work with Britain for technological development (ie "cloaking device," and that new international fighter, I forget what it’s called, that NATO’s building, etc.)
And didn’t we actually find Hussein’s documentation of the weapons? I mean, I know we didn’t find the actual weapons themselves, but didn’t we actually find paperwork dealing with production and transport, used production facilities, and strong evidence that they had been evacuated to Syria (I think it was Syria...)? |
