Some of the best songs of all time are three or fewer chords. Almost any early (pre-1970) Bob Dylan song is between three and five chords and just playing fifths on those chords.

That is the kind of statement that just welcomes criticism. I will say that, if the original post just said, "I really like Linkin Park; check out their new single!" I would've ignored this topic all together. But between the Linkin Park worshipping and the snobbish obloquy against hip-hop, I think that he kind of invited the response.
