A new Age...
« on: January 20, 2009, 03:30:14 pm »
Flash of Brilliance here.
I think it would be totally rockin' awesome if you could play with two decks at a time.
And I'm not saying that you would play as two players, but when the fellowship phase came around and it's your turn, you use both of your decks at the same time!!!  :P

And the minions could use all that twilight but at the same time, you could have A rohan Archery and an Elven archery, so Even if they did play tons and tons of minions you would have tons and tons of archery wounds and you could play 18 companions, and they could play even tons and tons more minions, but of course you wouldn't be able to use two of the same culture decks at the same time cuz that's basically cheating, can you imagine though, like say, you could have Greenleaf with a lot of health, and Aragorn with his bow and a lot of health and that would just be fricken sweet! I mean is that an awesome Idea or what, I totally agree, even though you didn't completely say something, I could tell that you were gonna say how fricken sweet this stroke of brilliance idea was, because I'm like phykik like that, even though that's not how you spell phyckinkkkkk Idc, do you know what that means, it means i don't care, because I actually don't care I mean if.....i.........

The tragic truth(ttt). This is what happens when a teenager gets bored. A stroke of (not) brilliance and a run-on sentance.

Would never work, an 18-companion synergistic fellowship would never be stopped by 2 shadow hands, specialyl since they wouldn't be running the same cultures.

Well, I guess they could change the limit to 11 or something, and have just the fellowship that can't have the same culture.

But seriously, this wasn't like a serious topic or anything, so it really doesn't matter.

But some things start like this and evolve, do you know MtG has a RECOGNIZED tournament format where you play in pairs? It's called Two-Headed Giant.

I played a 2 deck game, using Roaming Sauron and Besiegers. Having 2 Sauron minion hands with twice the fellowship adding twilight meant mayhem and death.

Nah, like that's gonna happen again. I saw a Legacy THG tournament, though, pretty crazy.

Why not? What's the logic?

FYI I've already did that and it works!! It's very funny, but we all used the same culture and only one ring-bearer. No special rules, everyone can play events on whatever companion, partners can see each other's hand, stuff like that.

I recomend it to anyone willing to try!! Different cultures should be nice too, but less interaction between partners.

With a single Ring-Bearer it might be feasible. How exactly did you paly it? Your way seems more broken, although more workable (I mean, combining a Southron threat deck with Besiegers, for instance, does not seem like a very good way to stop a double fellowship focused on archery, for example, but a whole Shadow made of [Raider] cards, even if following different strategies, might do it).

Yeah we had one ring-bearer and one thing i forgot to mention is that for spotting purposes, one could only spot his own cards. Those are the only special rules I remember of.

Bah, you and your puny 15 sites!

19! Count them, 19 sites!
(9 fellowship, 9 Towers, 9 King.... And someone actually made it all the way, too. We counted each Block as having all three regions, and Towers added 3 twilight to each site, King added 6. Had massive decks, too. Was pretty awesome.)
Forget it. I'm not arguing with the computer anymore to try to get the sig I want....
