Add two burdens to get Ring of Fury. Exert Sam to remove the burdens. Keep him alive until site 3 and get the Ring of Barahir too. You should have Aragorn by then. Feel free to throw Sam in front of a Balrog at your leisure.

Aragorn, Driven By Need is nice because he will remove the threats at the end of each turn...which you can then add with Gimli to fight. That is a nice strength +2 bonus for Aragorn.

I don't really know how to keep Aragorn healed well enough except for the Ring of Barahir (I just ripped this card for being "wildly over-rated.") But the threats need to go so that Gimli can fight.

Can you do it better? I would like to keep it below 32 cards...

You know, strength 14 for Gimli and 11 for Legolas without any pumps is not likely to win many skirmishes.

Not to mention 12-tops Aragorn.

I agree I say take out 3x Aragorn , Pull with site, take out 2x Quick as may be because you really do not NEED to wound minions you need to win the skirmish,Take out 2x My Axe Is Notched and Final Count and replace all of those with events especially Still Needed.

In movie there is no site to pull Aragorm... but you can remove some MAIN and play the dwarf site 1... but you have to bid to begin.

Now that I think about this deck a lot more, I actually like the idea, minus My Axe Is Notched and Final Count.

Gimli, Bearer of Grudges with Gimli's Battle Axe, Trusted Weapon and Aragorn, Driven By Need is a pretty great combination. Has anyone thought about a choke-type deck with just those two?

Of course, you still want to get Ring of Fury early, so I am wondering if you would want to start Sam, Son of Hamfast and a second companion rather than Aragorn, Driven By Need.

Removing elves completely makes this a little more realistic...but I don't know. Thoughts?

Stout and Strong is such a nice card....too bad you can combine it only in Expanded or Open with Gloin, Son of Groin and Gimli Feared Axeman. So sweet!

A good Final Count and My axe is Notched deck is hard to build.. without pumps, you might not be able to put the tokens you need to make Final count and my axe is notched work.

Perhaps using Gimli, SoG, Frodo, Obh and another Legolas... then try using a Trust me as you once did twist? so Gimli and Legolas can win more skirmishes..
