[Gondor][4] •Aragorn, Bearer of Temptation
Companion, Man
Ringed Resistance 4
Strength 8, Vitality 4
Hunter 1
While Aragorn is the ring-bearer, at the start of each skirmish involving Aragorn, add one burden for each of the following companions you cannot spot: Gimli, Legolas, Merry, Pippin.

[Dwarven][2] •Gimli, Axeman of Erebor
Companion, Dwarf
Resistance 7
Strength 6, Vitality 3
Damage +1
While you can spot Legolas, Aragorn is resistance +1.
Skirmish: Exert Gimli to make a companion with resistance 5 or more Hunter 2.

[Elven][2] •Legolas, Elven Bowman
Companion, Elf
Resistance 7
Strength 6, Vitality 3
Archer.
While you can spot Gimli, Aragorn is resistance +1.
Skirmish: Exert Legolas to make a minion lose Hunter until the regroup phase.

[Shire][1] •Merry, The Brave One
Companion. Hobbit
Strength 3, Vitality 4 Resistance 7
While you can spot Pippin, Aragorn is Resistance +1 and Pippin is strength +1.
Skirmish: If Merry is not assigned to a skirmish, discard him to make a minion lose Fierce until the regroup phase.

[Shire][1] •Pippen, Finding Courage
Companion, Hobbit
Strength 3, Vitality 4, Resistance 7
While you can spot Merry, Aragorn is Resistance +1 and Merry is strength +1.
Skirmish: If Pippin is not assigned to a skirmish, discard him to make a minion lose Damage bonuses until the regroup phase.

[Elven][2] •Arwen, Half-Elven
Companion, Elf
Strength 6, Vitality 3, Resistance 7
Hunter 1
While Arwen is not exhausted, the Ring-Bearer is Resistance +2.
If Arwen is killed and Aragorn is the Ring-Bearer, add 3 burdens.

Okay, here are the thoughts. I added Merry and Pippin to Aragorn's game text...the idea was, you have the choice of discarding the Hobbits and not having to add that burden, or you can chuck the hobbits and that's a burden you will have to add (while losing a resistance bonus).

I originally had, "If Aragorn is the Ring-Bearer, if Arwen is killed, the Ring-Bearer is corrupted," but I changed it to massive burdens instead. Also, she adds resistance to any Ring-Bearer on purpose. I was thinking Frodo and Aragorn, but she wasGaladriel's grand-daughter and I'm sure Gimli, Faramir, Gandalf, etc. don't mind the bonus.

Despite the fact that Aragorn would and should never be a ring-bearer, these are awesome. :gp:

One thing I just realized though, is that you don't have any twilight cost for the above 3 cards. That would be a good thing to add.

Hmmm. I think I'd prefer one more companion be thrown in...maybe Frodo? Or any Ring-bound Hobbit? You could probably go with resistance 5 then, too.

That skirmish ability is just too easy. Perhaps limit it to companions with a certain minimum resistance?

This one's good.

Kills the idea of a three hunters deck.

As for Gimli, what would you recommend? I like the idea of him giving Hunter to someone (particularly, himself, Aragorn, or Legolas). I don't like the idea of exerting him twice though.

Fair enough. Maybe add a burden or do something else nasty whenever Aragorn WINS a skirmish? That would be a good way to make up for his high strength.

I also like the ability, and I also don't like exerting twice. I would just slap a resistance thing on it, so something like "Exert Gimli to make a companion with resistance 5 or more gain hunter 2."

Hmm...I think Resistance 4 is fine. The fact that he is boned if Legolas or Gimli dies (he loses two resistance, plus adds a burden each skirmish) should be good enough I think.

As for resistance pumpers, sure there is Scroll of Isildur, etc., but I think it is pretty well set. But here's an interesting idea. What if there was a clause that Aragorn had to skirmish the strongest minion in play each turn? I've always thought that would be a neat idea.

I think Gorn needs a more hefty drawback, because what if you have companions outside of Lego and Gimli? Like just Gondor or something? Idk.. lol I always wanted a Gorn ARB :(

Legolas, Gimli, Gandalf, Boromir, Merry, Pippin, Sam, Frodo strengthen his purpose to destroy the ring!
Maybe something like that:

4 •Aragorn, Bearer of Temptation  [Gondor]
Companion, Man
Ringed Resistance 1
Strength 6, Vitality 4

Aragorn is resistence +1 for each of the following companions you can spot: Frodo, Sam, Merry, Pippin, Gandalf, Boromir, Legolas, Gimli.
While Aragorn is the ringbearer, Arwen gets this ability: "Aragron is defender +1, strength +2 and resistence +3.".

Can't cite Frodo (outside of Frenzied Fighter)...he would just wear the Ring!

The idea, again, was 3 Hunters. I would consider adding Merry and Pippin, though.

What about Arwen, who I just added? I can explain my rationale on her, if you'd like.
