Throne of Minas Tirith was dissapointing, because the actual throne isn't even in the picture.

Wow, I never noticed that! Good catch!

(Granted, I haven't purchased anything past Hunters ever). But man, I can see why that would be ultimate disappointment.

The Steward's Throne was a lower level than the Throne for the King. The Stewards did not sit in the throne for the King. You can see it base on the top left corner of the picture.

Maybe Last Throw has a better picture of the Throne raised up, but I can't remember if that's the card.
Edit: Last Throw was not the card I was thinking of, apparently.

By the definition of a throne being "a large chair," then yes. It was a throne.

But in Gondor lore, the Steward was not the King so he was not allowed to sit on the Throne. He had a chair to the side.

Black Flail - nothing in particular against prop shots (Arwen's Dagger is one I like, with a clear image of the blade and an interesting background), but the flail here is lost in the shuffle of the rack and assembled weapons, and disappointingly low-key.

Make a Run For It - this one's just silly. :P

Sam, Great Elf Warrior - blurry picture; this version of Sam deserved more.

[Uruk] culture template - not a fan of the bolted image border (less image space), nor of the googly eyes in the culture icon.

All of the above had been mentioned, but yeah. I never even thought to include an entire TEMPLATE! Actually, I really hate the [Orc], [Men], and [Uruk] templates and concept. Probably why I stopped playing after Mount Doom.

The Pale Blade, Sword of Flame just ticked me off. Complete garbage.

They could have used, oh, you know, ANY picture of it wreathed in flames.

I would've been content with that picture if it was "Nazgul Gauntlets." I don't consider the hilt of a sword as an actual picture of the item. Same goes for Blade of Gondor. They got the picture right the second time around, but there were plenty of good shots for that card other than Boromir's last dying breath.
