Ghan-Buri-Ghan
« on: October 18, 2009, 08:36:30 pm »
This should probably be in Archives, but is Ghan-Buri-Ghan, Chieftain of the Woses legal for Movie block?

If so, does anyone have a viable deck list for him? The only think I could think was Saved From the Fire with Gandalf, Leader of Men to grab Radagast, the Brown, another Saved From the Fire, and other goodies. Then next turn slay Gandalf for Sent Back and whichever version you please.

The only weapon he can bear (that I can remember) is Flaming Brand which is, alas, banned in Movie Block...

Post your GBG decks here!

Ghan would be heaps better in standard than movie.. Then you can use Beorning Axe

Although I'm not sure about his legality in movie.. Promos are confusing for this.

Well, you can give him Coat of Mail, Armor, or Heavy Chain...

...Armor, in a Forest deck might might be nice (assuming 2 other men). I am trying to find [Gandalf] pumps that work on [Gandalf] companions in movie block...no dice so far...

GCCG deck check says it is legal, along with other Promos like Tom Bombadil's Hat and Radagast's Staff. They are specifically programmed in. You'd have to ask wlk where he got the information, but I seem to recall seeing a mention of them on the LOTRO site (legal before Shadows was released). Not sure.

servant of the secret fire is nice. Gandalf, Faramir SoD, a nice Gorn and GbG, would be nice I guess. You have 1 comp that can't be tripled, 1 that rejcts special abilities, 1 of the best/maybe the best splash companions and a Gorn which ever you would like best....
