An Answer To the Most Common GCCG Questions (feel free to sticky)

Here's a quick FAQs section for GCCG. It is incomplete, but these are the most common questions unrelated to game play.

What is GCCG?
GCCG is a free, international online hub for playing TCGs online against other players. In short, you can play the Lord of the Rings TCG there against other people.

You said it is free?
I did say it was free.

Can you play games against the computer?
Not yet, but there are whispers of that becoming a possibility.

I have downloaded the game (using the instructions here: http://lotrtcgwiki.com/forums/index.php/topic,1474.0.html). I have $100. What do I do with this?
The money in the game can be used to purchase cards. Owning every card in a deck earns you a copy of a Promotional card. Collecting a full set awards a bonus of $.50 per card in the set.

What is the cash-equivalence of the game money?
$0.00USD = infinity game dollars. Incidentally, the infinity symbol does not show up on TLHH.

I'm broke. How do I get more money?
Play games! Even if you lose, you are awarded money each game you play. You are awarded $36 for each win and $9 for each loss. You can also put cards in your collection up for sale. Finally, completing a full set of cards earns you a one-time bonus of $.50 for each card in that set.

Do you need to own the cards to use them in a deck?
No.

My avatar is a rat. How do I change this?
/setavatar "avatar name"
"Avatar name" will not be in quotes and there is a list of avatars in the GCCG folder. For a laugh, type "/setavatar Galadriel3" without the quotes.

I'd rather listen to my iTunes while playing. How do you turn off sound?
/set nosound yes

I keep asking user "God" to play but he or she won't respond...

Trust me, a LotR AI would be ridiculous to code. Even rules checking alone would be a clumsy, stupid beast.
