Anvar has told me that apparently whenever he tries to log into TLHH, it tells him that he's been banned.

Can anyone work out what's going on and fix this?

Hmm, can't figure out why he is banned... there's nothing on this end that should be triggering it. Can you email him and ask if he has tried with a different web browser OR at a different computer (i.e. someone else's)?

Apparently he's banned on all computers and browsers he can lay his hands on, even as a guest.

Is there perhaps a problem logging in from Israel?

That's probably it! The recent influx of spammers has been from a .il (Israel) host, which I blocked a few days back. I unblocked it for now -- could he check to see if he can get in?

Can you not just ban specific IPs instead of an entire country? Seems a bit OTT!

Well, I did ban a specific IP, as well as the host. The problem is that people can easily change their IP's to get around those bans.

The strange thing is that that .il host is NOT identified as Anvar's host, nor the reason why he was banned in the Admin backend. So I had no reason to suspect that particular host until you mentioned Israel.
