I paid around $60 for a MW Aragorn, DoR. It was the absolute limit for me.

I am not sure that the current price explosion for hunters block cards can be maintained. There are simply too few players and collectors around. Ebay is a good indicator. There are no more auctions for the cards, but only but-it-now's that do not move because of absurd prices.

I always thought that the price increase in magic cards had to do with that being a still-active game with a HUGE player base that is being replenished with new players who take an interest in older cards, too, thereby creating ever-new demand.

With lotr, I suspect that, as the collections of the serious collectors who knew the game when it was still active, are being completed, I do not see an influx of new players to keep demand up.

Where prices go is anyone's guess, but I would not count on hunters block cards keeping on going up and up in price. Would you be willing to drop $100 per card? I cringe when I think of my Hunters MW set. I paid around $35 per card on average, but that is still $315 for 9 cards!!!! Could you picture spending $600-700 in total for a RoS or T&D MW set?
