Only one Stinker? No We Must Have It? I know the deck is pushing big at 34 cards, but I think that you can cut one Gathering to the Summons and one Vision From Afar and get two copies of We Must Have It in there, at least.

Or, you could consider cutting down to just three copies of Captain Crunch. I've always felt like you don't need four Easterling Guards and four Easterling Lieutenants. I think that a total of six cards between the two of them can help out.

Imagine if you cut one Easterling Captain, one Easterling Guard, one Easterling Lieutenant, and one Gathering to the Summons. Add three copies of We Must Have It and one copy of Evil-Smelling Fens and you should be good to go!

Yeah, we've had this conversation before.. :) I like it this way, to ensure maximum burden adding potential. Stinker is really just for one extra burden when played late game. I like having the option open for both corruption and to use Easterling Captain to kill everyone.

I might try your suggestions but I don't really want Gollum involved that much.

I just put an Easterling deck together and they seem really strong. I have decided to focus solely on corruption or overwhelm kills. It corrupted my Ent deck easily by site 7. I am never bidding to go first again in Towers and have added some Sam protection.

Not running any Gollum or support cards .... it might be worth investigating but i think the Easterlings can do it on their own.

Site 9 - Palantir Chamber is important to get out Easterling Skirmisher for shadow, or any other key minion.

I am not using Discovered, Southron Veterans, or Easterling Polearm.

I am using:
1 x Eastern Emyn Muil (on the off chance I draw it in opening hand vs Ringbound Rangers) and join this with Western Emyn Muil (just for fun). I hate the RingBound Ranger decks.
4 x Easterling Axeman
4 x Easterling Infantry

A few copies of Don't Look At Them could be interesting for your fellowship.

I did think about this, but decided that card is best used with Smeagol Always Helps who isn't towers legal.

One major flaw.  You aren't able to combine shadow sites with others.  Your site one doesn't work as it is a shadow.  Some one correct me if I'm going by house rules.

You are corrected. 4U323

The problem with the Shadow side is that it will just lose to Ring-bound rangers, who should be playing Frodo, Tired Traveller. How do you beat your own, for instance? You'll roam all game and be cut to pieces with Ranger's Bow. The Polearms will help a little, but there's only 4 of them and plenty of expendable Rangers.

The trick is not to run Southron Veterans, which is pretty meaningless in your deck. You can win by corruption or overwhelming, likely not by wounds. The trick is to run Southron Commander and On the March. If they get to 6 Ring-Bound people, nobody can discard. Then, that's strength 15, which in this format overwhelms all Frodos except those saved with Severed His Bonds. And that's what Cavern Entrance is for.

As for your fellowship, I'm not sure you need Smeagol just for Follow Smeagol. Smeagol's just there. Pumping him with Sting is nice, but I'd rather have business cards like a Ranger of Ithilien and a Defend It and Hope. You could always run Pathfinder if you want site control, though I'm not sure why you need it. Then, you could run Hobbit Sword over Sting; Sam will want a sword too.

Thanks for the advice, but this is an old deck. It has changed a lot since I posted it..

It was pointlessly bumped up again from June with a useless comment.

So are you going to post your changed deck on here?
