Those are some nice cards, MuadDib, but you know that I am partial to Movie Block. I mean, Movie Block is what was coming out when the game was still vibrant and played by a lot of people and it was just a better game back then.
I've played a lot of card games that went like that. I don't know if you guys remember MLB Showdown, but in 2000 and 2001, the formula for the cards produced, let's say, x for the statistics. Then in 2002 they changed the whole game so everything seemed to be home runs and that just ruined the game for me. I got rid of all of my 2002 cards a long time ago, and my 2001 more recently. I still have my 2000 cards, the glory days, but I would even move them in the right deal.
It is funny the comparisons that you can draw from card games and real life. I mean, the winners and losers are obvious, and there are certainly a whole lot of people in the dead pile, but I mean more like growing in and out of hobbies and perennial times of life. What I liked years ago I don't like now. What I hated years ago I now love. I have gotten rid of things and regretted it. I have acquired things and regretted it. I guess that's just it. It is funny how life is.
