Powerful Guide - Orc Swarm
« on: August 29, 2010, 05:54:07 pm »
This freeps is inspired by Olorin's PG deck, that bashed me to pieces enough times for me to build something similar.. :P

The Shadow is my own creation and is crazy. If the game gets to region 3, it is very hard for anything to avoid being swarmed.

Please let me know what you think.

The twilight generation of this deck is already at full potential. :)

Edit: You mean Scurrying Goblin. The deck is not underground based at all.

I don't get the point havin Faramir, BoQ as a Ring-Bearer and then use Faramir, Captain of Ithilien...

otherwise, the Freeps seems very cool to me. using Pippin, ItBoH to use Momentanous Gathering is a nice trick, just pray your opponent doesn't run uruk hunters...

I always love seeing Massing strength in Swarm Decks, but still, 4x Mountain Troll seems a bit too much for me... I think 3 of those should be enough. I also think that twilight generation with Orkish Scout on a Relentless Warg at Sirannon Ruins is quite strong... the only problem I see with this Deck is building it; at least two Relentless wargs, 4x Orkish Scout, 3-4 Mountain Troll, Orkish Warg-Master, 2x Black Land Chieftan... ;)

You're absolutley right. Brain explosion adding two Faramir's. I still beat King89 last night with both though.. XD

Changed the fellowship. Removed most Gondor Stuff.

All 4 Mountain Troll are required. He is the broken key to the swarm and Grimbeorn's best buddy. ;)

I have played this a few more times and changed both fellowship and shadow a little.

Added some more spells for fun with Powerful Guide, more condition removal (Traveller's Homestead and New-awakened to go with Pallando, Far-Travelling One), Rapid Reload is this decks major weakness. Also Removed the 4x SFTF and added a Watch and Wait.

For the Shadow I removed both Bladed Gauntlets (they were getting in the way but were originally in for Mountain Troll) and added a third Vicious Warg and 1x Spurred To Battle.

Yay, Olorin's PG deck... I wish I'll have one someday XD
Mithrandir I am known to the Elves, Tharkun to the dwarves; Olorin was the name in my youth in the West which is forgotten, in the South Incanus, in the North Gandalf; into the East I will not go."
