Thorongil is good for Bill Ferny, Agent of Saruman, just in case a mumak rider ditches the ranger's longbow or if you haven't drawn it yet, you still have Ferny protection with Thorongil.

Legolas, Woodland Emissary also gives that though.. so I guess it depends on what shadows you come up against most of the time.

Thorongil = exert non hunter minion (pavise comes to mind)
Ranger's Longbow = wound lowest strength minion

HTTToG and Thorongil are by far the best two Aragorn's printed, I guess it's just a preference thing. The Prancing Pony can be nice though to cut down on copies of Aragorn, so Thorongil gets the vote there..
