Another way to do it could be start the auction at $0.99 and if it doesn't get as high as you'd like by the time it's finished, just 'misplace' the item and cancel the bids.  

... I think you might have got bids at $80.00 though...

Jut put a reserve price on it, and let the bidding start...if it doesn't reach your reserve, then there are no problems.

Yeah that would be a better way. I never got into the whole reserve thing during my ebaying days, seemed like too much of a bother.

When you lower the price people tend to wait for the last minute, because they think you will keep lowering it.
