Required Actions vs. Optional Actions
« on: April 23, 2012, 04:20:23 pm »
I see a problem with the cards: 1U209 (Blade Tip) and 1P365 (Aragorn, King in Exile). The game allows you to heal a character with the aragorn signet before the blade tip cause damage.
But, in THE LORD OF THE RINGS™TRADING CARD GAME COMPREHENSIVE RULES 4.0, Page 07, say:
"Every action is either optional or required. An optional action is defined as: an action that uses the word "may," an event, or a special ability. All other actions are required actions.
If two or more required actions are occurring at the same time (for example, more than one "start of turn" action), the Free Peoples player decides in which order they occur.
All required actions responding to a particular trigger are performed before any optional actions. After all such required actions have resolved, players may perform optional actions responding to that same trigger using the action procedure."

In that way, Blade Tip MUST wound first, than the player MAY heal with aragorn.
Thanks. I am waiting for answer.
