Running Ents help

I just acquired a merry and pippin in the bloom of health and want to run the huge starting fellowship of ents (quickbeam, host of fangorn etc.). However, the numbers don't add up. When I play pippin, quickbeam, and skinbark I reach my 4 limit and can't play the host of fangorn. Am I doing something wrong?
