I have always offered a complete refund, return of the received cards, or a "cash settlement" to purchase my end of the deal.

I have only had cards not arrive to the other trader once; I have also had cards arrive to the other trader damaged through international mail, despite using  a bubble wrap envelope. Both times, the situation worked out in a way that was agreeable to both of us.
