Sure are easy ways to beat it though...add lots and lots of threats. Kill everyone else with the threats (Bilbo can't take threat wounds) and then overwhelm Bilbo. Pretty easy.

does the trick when it comes to adding pool. You could consider any cards that discard conditions...Orc Patrol and Saruman's Power are two classics.

It looks like you are playing Expanded because Consorting With Wizards and Bounder are not legal in Standard. So another easy call would be playing Standard or Movie which cuts cards (Movie cuts the Great Ring and Standard cuts the two mentioned).

Any character that gets stronger when burdens are added make overwhelming the petty Hobbit easy. Desert Legion and Easterling Captain come to mind.

In fact, go with that. Easterling Skirmisher to add twilight...Easterling Captain to use it...and Discovered to get rid of Consorting with Wizards!
