if you use aragorn defender of free peoples, win as many skirmishes as possible with legolas, then aragorn can overwhelm even big minions. and you can use the dwarven tokens to heal gimli. sure, it works better when you are winning more elvish skirmishes, but if your whole deck is final count / my axe is notched, defender of freepeoples can be a tank, and offer valuable healing.
