but I think the general casting in X-Men Origins: Wolverine was fine, so I think that Taylor Kitsch as Remy...
I didn't mind McGuire too much as peter parker (minus emo spidey of course), I think he blended akward and heroic well.
I wish I was so nonchalant about watching movies as you seem to be. I would say it is accurate that I hate about 85% of the movies I see.
And I don't see Mack pulling the seriousness Jean Grey requires.
I don't know Allison Mack as an actress because I don't watch
Smallville, but she had the mid-level prettyness that I was looking for in the role. The kind where...she's quite beautiful but clearly the second place in the movie. Like...she'd be best friend material in most chick-flicks, but probably not the leading lady in many.
And to your Spider-Man point,
Spider-Man 3 ended with all of the major characters in the movie crying together. In what is, and what shall always be, the worst ending to any super-hero movie of all time.
Oh, and to your Willem Dafoe point, I don't think he was a great Goblin but I like him as an actor. I
did think that Alfred Molina was a
fantastic choice for Dr. Octopus, but the script for that movie and character differences between the comics and the movie made that movie very disappointing for me. Anyways, you killed Green Goblin in the first movie, how could you kill Spider-Man's other arch nemesis in the second? So much for a Sinister Six reunion!
