Ulaire Otsea, DS Masterwork Foil from RoS and Grimbeorn for Ugluk, Ugly Fellow, You Do Not Know Fear, and Terrible and Evil.

I don't regret it too much because I got what I needed.. but still, That Otsea is worth a bundle now.  Oh, the Terrible and Evil was originally supposed to be a Shadowfax, Greatest of the Mearas, but got changed last minute.  If it had actually been the Shadowfax it would definitely be a better deal.  But this is certainly outweighed by all the greeeat deals I have gotten

This was on the first couple of Games I came to this boards, didn't know what Threats were, didn't know about the value of Reflections artifacts....

I really don't actually considering it's Narsil, BotF which is key card for an isildur RB deck, combined with scroll of isildur, seeing stones and sapling of the white tree...

plus i still haven't received the desert wind, not that i needed it though.

my worst trade was probably back when i first started playing and my friend got 2 The Balrog, Durin's Bane which i thought was so cool and ended up trading a bunch of nazzie cards, including the witch-king, lord of angmar, gates of the dead city and bent on discovery for one of them.

Looks like we know both sides of the trade.

That said, Lemenya is probably a better card than Narsil. I don't think Desert Wind is really that great but it goes without saying that Ring of Accretion is worthless.

Either way, the deal leans in L3333's favor, but it is not a huge rip-off.

Anyway, I'm just thinking of it as from now, then Narsil BotF was very important but I've got 4 of it... And I had 7 copies of Ring of Accretion, until I gave 3 away last week.

Also, I'm actually a pretty good trader, but when I was 7 years old, I traded 10 Holo Pokémon Rares for 1 Promo Mew... Still got a trauma from that...

Speaking of Pokemon, 3rd grade: my Blastoise for their Machamp (which came in a starter). What a jerk friend, knowingly ripping me off. I think I traded the Machamp for a Hitmonchan or something hahah man good times.

Might be preferable to cards that do arrive, covered in unidentifiable sweaty residue (with fingerprints all over). Left marks on my card sleeves as well, so most of the batch was discarded. I don't see how someone offering those could not notice.

Back when I was actively trying to grow the LOTR group here I invited a bunch of players over to my house to play.  I had a few old M:TG cards sitting around.  I played very little M:TG years ago and had long since traded away all my rares for Star Wars or Middle Earth cards (before LOTR existed...). 

Anyway, one of the players looked through my box and traded me a Legolas, Greefleaf for just a stupid Magic Uncommon.  Ha Ha sucker....

Of course the Uncommon was a Force of Will    

I didn't even need the Greenleaf.  Just trying to make trades to keep the group alive and thriving.   Little did I know the value of the Force of Will...or anticipate the current value of a Greenleaf.

Agreed. Especially when you have been told cards are mint.

Well, they're not really uncommons anymore (but the price you found is absurdly high, btw, unless they're booster mint), and ANY Legacy or Vintage deck that has access to blue pretty much plays 4. It's one of the ONLY cards that are a four-of in Vintage decks (if not the only one, aside from some lands).

I walked into the local gaming store and unloaded two copies of Horn of Boromir for practically nothing..  I actually can't remember what I traded them for, so I don't know if I can post here.  But what made me bitter was that my sister could walk in, flash a smile, and have people GIVING her rares within seconds.I

I must admit that there are times when being a girl would really pay off. :-)
